About

My name is Safia Rock-Worrell, I am a full spectrum doula completing two doula trainings. The first at A life of Peace and the second most current at Community Doulas of South Jersey. I received certification as a Birth\Postpartum doula, Childbirth Educator, Sexual and Reproductive Health Counselor and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. I'm so grateful to have the ability to work in the birthing world. Working to ensure that one of the most amazing, fulfilling and exciting experiences of a birthing person's life, be as close to what they have envisioned and planned as possible. To do the work you are called to do is a blessing. I've also been blessed, being a mother of 7 children, to gain experience, knowledge and wisdom that can offer enrichment and encouragement through the pregnancy, birthing, and post-partum journey. Offering compassion, guidance, and comfort, during each transition on the birth journey is important, which is the true definition of what Motherly Doula Care is.

Services Offered

Prenatal

Congratulations! So this is the beginning of your journey. For our first visit, which will be 1 hour, we will meet and have a free of charge consultation discussing doula services that I provide and whether I'm the doula for you. If I am, the 2nd and 3rd visits will be 2 hours long, at these visits we will address any concerns or wishes you may have and come up with a birth plan. We will practice pain management techniques and several birthing positions, discuss specific signs of labor and when to call your doula.

Labor and Delivery

ITS TIME! You are in labor, the baby is coming! I will be right there with you supporting and encouraging you throughout the birth and 1 hour postpartum. During this hour I will help to make sure you and baby are bonding and to assist you with breastfeeding.

Post Partum

This is our last visit. I will visit you and baby at home. We can discuss your birth and address any concerns you may have. If at this time you feel additional postpartum services are needed, we can talk about what those services would include and for how long. Postpartum services typically can be from birth up to 12 weeks postpartum.

Soup Service

This service is offered during the postpartum period. Nourishing your body is one of the most important parts of healing your postpartum body. I will make nutrient dense soups with warming ingredients that promote healing of the womb and body.
